Not the usual update, but this isn’t the usual. The Philippines was hit by Typhoon Ketsana aka Ondoy on the 26th of September, causing devastation to many lives, homes and businesses. We don’t have to say any more, than what has already been conveyed in print, tv and online media.
All we want to do, is to get everyone to donate and contribute in helping towards getting the Philippines back, up and running. It’s going to take some time, but like the saying goes “every little bit helps.”
We’ll keep this updated with more information as we receive it, esp. in regards to care packages, voluntary work and events.

Hey.
I know cash is easier…
But in terms of clothes / blankets – is there any way that uk filipinos can mobiize to send balikbayan boxes for the victims?
suggest they get sent direct to schools, i.e. Ateneo or La Salle…
Hey Rina, you’re right. Logistics for packages/boxes are being arranged. We’re just awaiting confirmation on info, in regards to who’ll be able to ship them over and when.
Hi All, Thanks Lani for all the info.
Just to let you know, they have updated the link you had above (UK Philippines Embassy) http://philembassy-uk.org/news_advisory.html#page11 and have added in the Advisory 3 section, which lists addresses of places that are accepting donations like blankets and clothing etc.
