Typhoon Ondoy: Help & Donate.

Not the usual update, but this isn’t the usual. The Philippines was hit by Typhoon Ketsana aka Ondoy on the 26th of September, causing devastation to many lives, homes and businesses. We don’t have to say any more, than what has already been conveyed in print, tv and online media.

All we want to do, is to get everyone to donate and contribute in helping towards getting the Philippines back, up and running. It’s going to take some time, but like the saying goes “every little bit helps.”

We’ll keep this updated with more information as we receive it, esp. in regards to care packages, voluntary work and events.

The information and links below are places and websites that we in the UK can access to make a donation either through giving monetarily or our old clothes, shoes etc. We are urging everyone to help they desperately need your help.

What you can donate:
· Clothes
· Underwear
· Blankets
· Footwear
· Towels
· Canned goods (preferably with a pull-open tab)
· Ready-to-eat food (cereal, crackers, snacks)
· Instant noodles
· Baby formula
· Diapers/Nappy
· Toiletries (shampoo, bath soap, toothbrushes)
· Medicines (Oral Rehydration salts, Sulphur Soap for protection from fungi, Cefalexin & Cloxacillin, Clotrimazole ointment creams, Analgesics and Expextorants)

You can download a copy of the inventory which donors need to fill out and sign as well as a tag for the package that we will send.
